Instrument measurement principle:
Under weakly acidic conditions, free chlorine in water reacts with DPD reagent to produce red compounds. At a certain wavelength, the absorbance is measured and converted into residual chlorine based on the absorbance. In the presence of excess KI, elemental chlorine, hypochlorous acid, hypochlorite and chloramine react with the DPD reagent to form a red compound, and the absorbance is measured according to The absorbance is converted to total chlorine.
